Counseling & Assessment

About Me
I'm Deana, the counselor behind Cambiare. My style is open-minded and down-to-earth, never clinical or cold. We'll go at your pace, in a quiet space where you can simply be yourself.
My goal is to help each person find a little more balance in their personal life, their work, and their relationships, and to leave feeling a stronger sense of empowerment and self-worth. Cambiare is Italian for "to change," and change grows quietly, one honest conversation at a time.
Credentials
Deana Baker, M.A., LPC, LSOTP, LCDC-I, is fully licensed in Texas across counseling, addiction, and specialized treatment.
Our Approach
No rigid program, no one-size-fits-all worksheet. Just real support, shaped to fit your life and grounded in approaches that genuinely help.
The first step is just talking. No pressure, no scripts. We get to know what brought you here and what you're hoping for.
A welcoming space for every background, identity, and belief. You'll be met with warmth and respect, exactly as you are.
Drawing on CBT, the Gottman Method, and family-systems work, chosen to match your goals, not the other way around.
What I Help With
Whether something feels overwhelming or you just need someone in your corner, these are a few of the areas we can work through together.
Not sure where your situation fits? That's okay. Reach out and we'll figure it out together.
Insurance & Payment
Cambiare is in network with many major insurers. If you don't see yours, reach out and we'll talk through your options.
Coverage and benefits vary by plan. I'm glad to help you check what your plan covers before we begin.
Let's Chat
Reaching out can feel like a lot. A quick call or text is all it takes to get started. We'll find a time that works for you.
Online booking through Headway. Most major insurance accepted.
Cambiare is a quiet, welcoming practice, a place to slow down, breathe, and feel genuinely heard. Whenever you're ready, the door is open.
Change can start with a single conversation.
Cambiare welcomes adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults, generally ages 12 and up. The right fit matters most, so the best way to know is simply to reach out and talk it through.
For clients under 18, a parent or guardian is involved in scheduling and consent. If you're unsure whether counseling here is a good match for you or your child, please get in touch. There's no pressure either way.
Reaching out here is not a substitute for emergency care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or dial 911.
Choose whatever feels easiest, and we'll take it from there.
